I am a little late to the party with this, but I recently read John Krakaurer's Three Cups of Deceit which is a take down of the popular memoir Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson. If the goals are going to work, everyone needs to know about them. You can’t fight for your rights if you don’t know what they are. You can’t convince world leaders to do what needs to be done if you don’t know what you’re convincing them to do. It’s the same wherever you are in the world. So, today I delve into 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals to see what exactly they mean and what we can do to help.
Action for the city is a non-profit organization based out of Hoi An whose goal is to make the city more green and more livable for tourists and residents. They aim to be a sustainable model for all development in Vietnamese cities, something which is sorely needed as growth in Vietnam continues at a rapid pace.
